Dental Insurance and Payment Options

Financing Your Care

Unlike your general dentist, as a specialty practice, we may only see you as our patient in our dental center for one treatment visit. Therefore, payment is due at the time services are rendered. As a courtesy, if you have dental insurance we will bill your carrier, provide documentation, claim forms, radiographs, and treatment narratives as needed. We request that you pay your estimated out-of-pocket expense at the time of your root canal treatment. We accept cash, checks, and credit card. We also offer financing and payment plans, arranged through Care Credit, where we have paid the interest and fees for you. Care Credit is hassle-free and extends payments to fit comfortably within your budget.

Those with dental insurance

After we have been given your dental insurance information, we will use the information provided by your insurance company to estimate the portion your insurance is going to pay. Since this varies for each individual dental insurance plan, usually 25 – 75% of the cost of the procedure is required at the time of service. We will bill your dental insurance carrier on your behalf after services have been provided. Insurance companies routinely indicate that coverage verification does not guarantee payment. This means while we have done our best to estimate your out of pocket expense, when the insurance company actually processes the claim, the insurance payment may be substantially less than expected. While we try to verify benefits prior to services, we do ocassionally have to send out bills after insurance benefits have been received.  OK, sometimes it’s more than expected, and we get to send out refunds, but nobody ever complains of that!

If your insurance pays more than the estimated amount, a refund check from this office will be mailed within 1 month from the date insurance payment is received in this office.

If your insurance pays less than the estimated amount, you will receive a statement from this office. NOTE: If your insurance company does not reimburse us after 2 submissions, you will be responsible for the remainder of the balance since we were unable to collect from them.
